William P Madigan Jr., MD, FACS, FAAP, is the Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology at Children's National. He is a Professor of Surgery and past Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland from 1995-2015. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his Medical Doctor degree from USUHS. His internship and residency in Ophthalmology were both at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in Washington, D.C. He completed his fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology under Dr Marshall Parks at CNHS in 1989.
