Sky Above Great Wind Zen is a Zen community (or sangha) serving the greater Washington DC, area under the guidance of Susan KoDo Efird sensei in the White Plum lineage of Maezumi Roshi. We practice seated meditation, chanting, kinhin (walking meditation), koan study, shakyo (sutra copying). Sky Above meets in the small chapel of Church of the Holy City at 1611 16th Street NW, Washington, DC, a ten-minute walk from the Q Street exit of the Dupont Circle Metro. Zen offers an ever-deepening insight into the oneness of life and reveals our human potential for serving others with wisdom and compassion.
