Marena Patronas, MD, is board-certified in ophthalmology and an associate clinical professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences specializes in Retina and Vitreous Diseases. Her clinical interests are centered on diagnosing and treating complex retinal disease, such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, retinal vascular disease and macular degeneration.Prior to joining the GWU Medical Faculty Associates, she was Assistant Professor for the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She enjoyed teaching and working closely with ophthalmology residents and medical students.
