Dr Rankin is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and he holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He has particular expertise in the fields of cartilage preservation and restoration, meniscus transplantation, complex knee and shoulder soft tissue reconstruction procedures, and minimally invasive knee replacement surgery. A native Washingtonian, for the last 17 years Dr Rankin has provided exceptional operative and nonoperative musculoskeletal care to area high school and collegiate student athletes as well as individuals of all ages wanting to maintain an active lifestyle. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Howard University College of Medicine.
