Karen Wanersdorfer, DO is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and member of the Center for Trauma and Critical Care team at GW Hospital. Dr Wanersdorfer is a native of Colorado, where her family still resides. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Dr Wanersdorfer was originally recruited to the Colorado State University to join the women's golf team. Upon graduation, she attended Rocky Vista University in Parker, Colorado, completing her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2013. After two years of her Family Medicine Residency at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida, Karen discovered her true passion of surgery and transferred to the General Surgery program.
