District Writers’ Academy's mission is create a safe and inspiring space for young writers. We offer private writing tutoring (academic and creative), small-group creative and academic writing classes, and summer writing camps for middle and high-school students. We also offer instruction in college essay writing. Our curriculum is interactive, hands on, with small class sizes (under eight students). All of our teachers are professional writers themselves, as well as experienced instructors. We can help your child explore their creativity in story-telling, poetry, personal essays & journalism or find their confidence in the classroom with tools for writing academic papers, reading comprehension and overcoming writers' block.
