Founded in 2013, DCFNE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing patient-centered forensic nursing care to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Our Mission is to lessen the impact of violence in the District of Columbia. We believe that every individual should be empowered to take control of their health and wellbeing in the aftermath of violence. We provide free medical forensic exams for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and family violence. On-call services are accessible 24/7 by dialing the DC Victim Hotline at 844-4HELP-DC or by walk-in at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
