City Kids opened its doors in 1996 to use outdoor spaces to spark inspiration, provide practical life skills, instill self-confidence, and offer opportunities that push DC-based youth to explore their sense of personal possibility. Today, City Kids' mission is more important and relevant than ever. There is a crucial need to address the issues facing today’s youth, particularly those from underserved communities with a lack of equitable access to the tools necessary to thrive and succeed.
