CARECEN provided important housing, citizenship and immigration legal work in the Latino community of the Washington Metropolitan area. CARECEN works primarily serve Latinos immigrants throughout the DC Metro area, but is anchored in Washington, DC, that is home to 79,249 Latinos (11.3% of the total DC population), according to the July 2018 US Census.
