Board certified in transplant hepatology, gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Rangnekar is a transplant hepatologist in the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute, and assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at Georgetown University. He also has a Master of Science degree in healthcare research, with a special interest in viral hepatitis and acute liver failure. Besides his medical education role at Georgetown, Dr. Rangnekar served on a national committee for hepatology training. Dr. Rangnekar won recognition for his contributions in training other physicians, in translating research into clinical practice, and in patient care. Toward that end, he is highly rated by MedStar Georgetown patients for his listening skills.
