Dr. Alexander Andrews is an attending physician in MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Division of Pediatric Neurology. His area of clinical interests includes refractory epilepsy, quantitative EEG methods, general child neurology, & health equity. He sees pediatric patients in the hospital & clinic, & he treats both children & adults who are admitted to the inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Dr. Andrews believes in a multifaceted approach to treating epilepsy, & in the power of psychological support for patients living with epilepsy & for their families. When it feels as though personal freedom & social connectedness are taken away by the fear of having a seizure, it's critical to regain a positive self-image & goal-driven outlook.
